At one point, clients were completely against and very resisting of installing a wood floor in their kitchen. And to be honest, they had every right to not want hardwood in the kitchen. After all, hardwood and water are not a good mix.
However, lately, there has been a gradual push towards hardwood in the kitchen. Hardwood does offer some superior advantages over tile in the kitchen. Hardwood is timeless, classic and does not date. Tile, however, does. And once tile is outdated, it will make your entire space seem dated.
While tile keeps your home temperature a bit cooler, it is hard on your feet. Hardwood is softer and more forgiving.
